I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful couple of days where we spent as much time together as a family as we could. I had to fit some time in here and there for work but for the most part, I tried to spend as much time with the boys as I could. Christmas eve was the day I had to work, then we headed out to have dinner with my husband’s father. We got home pretty late… It was about 9pm and we still had a lot to do. You see, Santa brought the boys an activity table for Christmas. He didn’t put it together though so Daddy and I had to do that. After the boys went to bed… and we made sure they were asleep.
You see all that? That is the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Multi-Activity Table that I’ve been wanting to get the boys for over a year. They both love trains and cars. and they end up all over the place. And when I mean all over the place.. any flat surface that Hayden can find to play his cars on… there normally is a pile of cars sitting somewhere nearby. Noah is the same way with trains except he doesn’t know how to put the track together. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour to put together. And when I mean we, I really mean Paul. I helped but I mostly watched. Here is the finished product.
Yes, we even took the time to put together the trains. I have to admit. At about 11pm, I don’t have any creativity at all. The design is all Paul. I sucked at it. But we had fun playing with it before the boys got into it. In the morning, we made Hayden wait until everyone was fully awake to head downstairs and see what Santa brought. I made sure to record it so that we could remember their reaction to the table. It was priceless.. check it out!
