A couple weeks ago I posted about the free tickets that were available here in Columbus to see The Croods before it opens in theaters. I went to check it out, along with my family and a couple of my friends who happened to have scored tickets to see it. This was the first movie that Noah was in the theater the whole time so I was nervous but before I get into the review, let me give you the basics about The Croods by Dreamworks.

The Croods

The Croods is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever. ~Thanks to Dreamworks

My review: I LOVED this movie! Eep is a very much like a curious teenager that just wants to be apart from her family. However, he father is set on not only making sure their family doesn’t loose a member (other than grandma), but that they stick together. All this changes when Eep meets Guy (and belt) and the family goes through a lot to be themselves but also follow their dad’s wishes.

I love that Nicholas Cage is Grug. He sounds like a father and his voice is perfect for the character. I also thought that Cloris Leachman as Gran worked so well with Nicholas. They sounded like family and had a quick come back for everything. It was great! I don’t want to ruin the movie for anyone but you will love the transfermation of everyone in the family as the movie progresses. You also see that the love a father has for his family is never ending. I almost cried. And Noah actually sat through the whole movie. He got a little antsy towards the end because he had been sitting for so long, but he kept the glasses on and followed pretty well.

Make sure you check out The Croods in theaters today. You can also follow them on their Facebook page.

I got the opportunity to view this movie for free along with other individuals in my city. I was under no obligation to write a review but loved it so much that I had to write about it. Go see it!

This movie was great! Both my kids and I enjoyed watching it. I would also recommend others watch it in theaters or rent it

That was a pretty funny movie. I think I enjoy these newer animated movies more than the kids! LOL
