I was sent an Amazon code to purchase some pure shea butter for review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
I haven’t talked about this much the last couple of months but I’m coming up on 3 years natural. Until October of 2011, I used chemicals to straighten my hair. It was the best option for me at the time, but I realized how bad it actually was for my hair. This summer, I have been concentrating on growing my hair and trying to make my own products. Which is why I was so excited to find out about pure raw shea butter.
The Raw Shea Butter from Cleopatra’s Choice uses the Highest Quality Shea Nuts to make a deeply moisturizing, hydrating and soothing butter. It works great for the hair as well as skin: it provides natural relief from symptoms of Very Dry Skin, Psoriasis Dryness and Eczema. Many people use it as a daily moisturizer because it doesn’t clog the pores. My goal was to make a whipped shea butter for my hair.
The good thing about making a whipped shea butter is that it can also be used for the skin so all you have to do is make it to your liking for what you plan on using it for. Here are the measurements I started out with:
- 1 cup of raw shea butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 tbsp jojoba oil
- 2 tbsp aloe vera jel
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
