Wow, what I week. This is the first time I’ve ever stuck to a specific diet strictly for any period of time. It has always been hard for me to stick to a diet because I kind of love food. So I just don’t.
I was motivated and stuck to Turbo Takeoff Week though.
What is Turbo Takeoff? The Turbo Takeoff is entirely unique from the rest of your Nutrisystem program. This week is a higher-intensity, kick-start, in which you are set up with just about everything you need to make your weight loss plan “takeoff”. I was sent 7 days worth of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But the kit was complete with a shake for morning snack and a peanut butter chocolate bar for an afternoon snack. The only thing I had to add were the 4 servings of veggies during the day. This made meal planning (for me anyway) pretty easy.
At first, it was a little hard for me. I wasn’t allowed cream in my coffee and no regular sugar. So I stayed away from coffee for 2 days until I started putting it in my shake. It was delicious by the way. I got my caffeine and still stuck to my plan. However, I’m pretty sure I went through a little bit of a sugar crash. I have sugar every day. My body wasn’t used to it. It only took a short amount of time to get used to the lack of sugar and I’m better for it.
The only thing I don’t like is how I eat something completely different from my family. I am the one who normally cooks for them so I made it. But I had something else. It was especially hard since this past Sunday was Easter… and I cooked a large meal. I didn’t eat any of it. I was proud of myself but sad I didn’t get to enjoy any of it since it was the last day of Turbo week: No flex days.
