A couple of months ago I started working out again. I haven’t worked out seriously is over 10 years. Like seriously, since high school. I had a gym membership before when I worked in a call center but I never really went and did everything the way I should have. I took me about 2 years to get to a comfortable weight after Hayden. I still wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be but I knew I would be ok gaining way from there. I also got a Wii fit. Loved it. It didn’t really help me lose weight (because I wasn’t committed) but it did help me stay active.
I was the one who decided to get the membership at our local gym. I thought it was time to get off my butt. I’m still working up to doing more than about a half an hour of a workout. Last night I did 45 minutes of walking/running. It felt good. I do Zumba Tuesday nights. I LOVE it. No, you don’t hear me. I LOVE IT! I don’t think I would have made it this long without Zumba. They have a children’s place for Hayden and Noah to play. They both love it. It was hard to leave Noah at first. I think because we had a bad example from another gym when I went to a different Zumba class. Personally I think the girls in the gym weren’t trained well enough or just didn’t want to do their job. Noah crawled along the floor crying. He was there for 30 minutes and not a single person picked him up to calm him down. How do you work in a daycare and not pick up a crying baby? I had to just leave. I was going to be not nice. We haven’t gone back to that branch of the gym since. I’m afraid to leave my youngest there anymore.
But that isn’t the point to the post. The point is to remind everyone how important it is to exercise smart. I’m still learning what that means. I drink my water. I stretch. I do as much as I can. Just be safe. And get fit!
By the way, if you’re working out to lose weight, consider pairing your exercise routine with the Sensa weight loss system. Sensa will help you change your eating habits while working out will tone your body and burn calories. The ultimate twosome!
