Save your stuff with a new app from the NAIC

February 14, 2014 by Ashley T

A couple of months ago, I wrote a post sponsored by the NAIC about the Insure U insurance survival guide for newlyweds. Well, I am back to share with you something else that they offer. You know I’m all about helping out my fellow mothers, fathers and all others who read my blog so of course I’m going to share something that they shared with me.

The NAIC has come up with a second game on their website as part of the “I Do Adventures”. Click here to play “Save Our Stuff“.  Here is what you do: Help the newlyweds protect often overlooked valuables as disaster threatens the treetop happiness of their first home sweet home. Click to save hidden valuables from fire before time runs out. The first time I played, I was kind of frantically looking for the stuff. I think the more infocused you are, the longer it will take you to get your items. Once I calmed down and played again, I got the score of 1380. Not bad. And I’m pretty sure everything I saved didn’t have any damage to it. Did you play the game? What was your score?

After you’ve had the chance to play the game, check out the app that the NAIC created to help keep track of all your inportant household items just in case a bad thing happens. Its called the MyHome Scr.APP.book Mobile App. Take a picture of everything you own and save it so you are prepared. The video below explains it well:

I also knew to make sure I saved everything I would need just in case but we are horrible at making sure we know everything we own. This app is prefect for that. If you are looking to download the app, it is available on  iTunes® and Android market®. I’m checking out the app right now.

What is something that you’d want to make sure you never forgot because its very important?

This is a really neat app. I'm going to have to check on this. I could definitely use it for our homeowner's insurance. You know for that "Just in case, but it'll never happen to me moment". Brandi recently posted...Divalicious Event Sign UpMy Profile
