I’ve been driving a Hyundai Elantra for the past almost 4 years. So, it wouldn’t be hard to believe that I’ve looked into other cars and SUVs that they make. As I’ve said before, my heart is telling me that my next vehicle will be an SUV so why would it be a surprise if I stick to the make that I’ve already been exposed to.
Even though I’ve never driven a Hyundai Santa Fe, I’ve found out plenty about it. So, I’d love to share some of the options that make it a contender in the fight for my spot in the garage. I mean, so many SUVs, so little time.

- Electronic stability
- Automatic temperature control
- Emergency communication system
- Wireless phone connectivity
- Front dual zone A/C
- 3rd-row seats; seats 7! (my favorite option!)
- Split folding rear seat
- Remote keyless entry
- 3.3L V-6 engine
My very favorite thing and must have when it comes to an SUV is 3 rows. I have 2 growing boys, one who is getting close to being as tall as me. 3 rows means 7 seats. That also means I can pick up my nieces and nephew and we can all go somewhere. I’ve never been able to do that because 6 children either mean an SUV or Minivan. I’m not a fan of driving around in 2 cars all the time because we have more children than car space.
My least favorite: always the gas mileage. The Santa Fe gets 18MPG city and 24MPG highway. That doesn’t mean the space doesn’t make up for the fact that I wouldn’t be saving as much gas. Check out the different options you can get in a Hyundai Santa Fe (including not getting the 3rd row) to save some money.
