Life after weight loss

September 11, 2017 by Ashley T

This isn’t a sponsored post, this is something I decided to write since finishing my time with Nutrisystem.

It has been approximately 6 weeks since I finished Nutrisystem. Just a quick recap: I lost a total of 34.4 pounds in 16 weeks with Nutrisystem. I desperately needed it; not only because I was overweight but for my health as well. I’m still dealing with my diagnosis of IIH but weight loss helps clear that as well.

I still weighed 2 pounds more than I wanted to but I succeeded.

I weighed in at 151.8 pounds. My goal was just under 150, where I would be considered normal weight, but I wasn’t stressing over it. I go up and down 2 pounds during the day so, at some point, I’d make sure I got there.

Fast forward to now:

Last time I weighed myself, I came in at the same weight as when I finished. Personally, I take that as a win! Getting off a diet and trying to go back into some type of place where you aren’t eating as much as before but you can eat what you like is hard.

I wanted to eat all of the things. Seriously.

While I don’t limit my calories as much as before, I still am very conscious of what I’m eating. I never really was before and I’m sure there were days I was eating over 3,000 calories. AND not working out. I’m still trying to keep to my 3 days a week workout and stay within a normal 2,000 calories a day. From what I can see, it’s working.

Would I ever diet again?

Before starting Nutrisystem, I would have said never. Now, I think I would. While I wasn’t exactly happy with not eating whatever I wanted, it taught me exactly what I needed to know to get to my goal weight and stay there. And I am way happier for it.
