My husband happens to be over 6ft tall. So not every single car has enough legroom for him. Especially in the back. He rarely rides in the back because there isn’t any reason to but we’ve been on adult only trips and trying to fit him and/or his brother in the back seat is near impossible in most cars. So we always look for something that he can fit in especially since our children could get just as tall.

You can find a car that you fit comfortably in and don’t have to worry about having enough space. I definitely understand why my husband has stayed away from an economy size car and always starts with mid-size sedans. Here are some options for pre-owned cars you can find and fit in comfortably.
Jeep Wrangler
The Wrangler definitely had room for tall people. My mom owns one and my husband can fit great in the back. You can find a great pre-owned one with Barkau Chrysler for around $10,000.
Kia Optima
The Optima is one of the most stylish mid-size cars out there right now and it also offers space in the front and back for taller people. This goes for some of the older models, the newer ones (such as the 2018 model year) doesn’t offer as much space.

Older Accords also have about the same amount of leg space as the Optima. The Accord is one of the most popular mid-size cars out there and they hold their value well. So, getting a used one could be great for you. If one wants to own a car they can look through the logbook first and the decide.
GMC Terrain
With my husband being tall, you can believe our kids will be tall as well. This is where SUVs sometimes step in. The Terrain is a compact SUV with great leg space in the front and the back.

The Flex is a full-size crossover that offers seating for up to 8 passengers. The front headspace is great for tall people and you also have space for traveling and friends of your children.
Tesla Model S
Looking for a plug-in electric car with headspace? The Model S is for you. While it doesn’t have much space in the back for taller people, the space in the front makes up for it.
