License

Preapproval check
If you choose to get preapproved before you headed to the dealership, this might save you some time. Most banks will send you a blank check with a limit (that you are approved for). Both you and the dealership must sign the check for it to be valid and you’ll know your payments before you set foot on the lot.
Down Payment
This is important if you plan on putting money down towards your car. Make sure the dealership takes whatever form of payment you plan on using for that down payment. Otherwise, you could be scrambling to get that in.
Trade In
Have a car to trade in? That’s great. Make sure the car has already been cleaned out before taking it to the dealership. You’ll want to make sure you’ve gotten everything important out before they take possession.
