My current weight loss plan

September 8, 2020 by Ashley T

A couple of years ago, I had great success with the weight loss plan with Nutrisystem. I was pretty proud of myself; I stuck to the diet the best way that I could, I exercised when I had the time and did what I loved to do, and I also enjoyed the increased energy that I could following the plan.

I lost 40 (or so) pounds and looked better than I had in years. But at some point, I became lazy. I went back to eating way more than I should and didn’t exercise as much as I should. In about 4 years, I’m above where I was when I started Nutrisystem and I hate it.

Now, let me say first…

I’m not saying I hate myself or my body. I think I could look ok at this weight if I had built muscle or at least kept myself moving while I was gaining. Gaining healthy weight is a real thing. I didn’t gain that at all.

Most of my weight gain is in my stomach and in my thighs. Just dead weight that I want to get rid of.

So, I’m making a weight loss plan.

I know that I don’t want to put myself on another weight loss food plan. While it helped me, I just don’t want to be there again. I want to do this on my own and do my best while being able to eat what I want to eat sometimes.

The first thing I did was find a weight loss calculator to help me figure out what I need to work on to get where I want to be. I did find a Weight Loss Planning Calculator that puts the calorie part into easy numbers for me. Basically, based on my current weight, how much time I wanted to take to lose the weight, and how much exercise I do, I can figure out my calorie intake for each day to help me lose weight.

I also plan on planning more “diet-friendly” meals for the family. However, I don’t want to say I’m dieting. We need to eat more healthy meals because we don’t always watch what we eat. making healthy decisions with the help of Geeks Health is a good idea. Some weeks, its a lot of fast food because that’s just what happens. If you’d like to view more meals that I’d plan on making (or have made in the past), check out my Pinterest page for recipes.

While I probably won’t cover my goals on here, I have been posting on my instagram stories when I get the chance. I try and keep myself human; like today, I posted about how I haven’t worked out in almost a month. But you might find a workout selfie or 2, just because.
