What Style Of Car Will Be Right For Your Family?

April 3, 2021 by Ashley T

Are you thinking about buying a new car for your family? There are a wide range of different styles to explore and choose from here. These are some of the options that we recommend you keep in mind.

Saloon

If you’re looking for the ultimate comfortable car for your family, then you should definitely think about opting for a saloon. These tend to have great suspensions and offer a smooth ride on any type of road. They can highly fuel-efficient, particularly if you explore an option like the Audi A5. These cars can still provide a lot of room, but don’t always come with a massive amount of load space in the back. This type of car will however be perfect for the school run and the office commute.

SUV

If you want to get a family car that is going to provide you with a lot of space, then an SUV could be the perfect option. Something like a GMC Acadia gives you massive amounts of room to play with and will ensure that you don’t have to worry about issues with a car that feels cramped when the whole family is out on a trip. It’s a great choice if you have an older family with teens that need to fit in the back. These cars can also be incredibly reliable so you won’t have to worry about getting stuck at the side of the road.

UTE

A UTE is also known as a pickup and while they used to be only favored by industrial workers, these days they have become quite popular with families as well. The main reason for this is the sheer amount of storage space that you do get in the back of the vehicle. It can be useful if you are thinking about buying a car that you’ll be able to use on family holidays and you’re a fan of camping trips. Toyota makes some great UTEs that are definitely worth considering. One thing to watch out for is the MPG because these cars can guzzle fuel.

hot hatch

If you’re on a tight budget, then your best option would be a hot hatch. These usually have three doors but lately, producers have been leaning towards designing them with five. You might think that these aren’t going to provide a lot of room but they can be deceptive. They could be perfect for a young family with small kids that will fit comfortably in the back. You just need to make sure that you’re getting enough storage space. When you don’t have the kids with you, you’ll usually find that the seats fold down completely providing a lot more room.

We guarantee that one of these car types will be perfect for your family. It’s just a matter of exploring the different features of each option and figuring out which choice is going to match your needs. If you have a younger family, you can opt for a smaller vehicle and then upgrade after a few years.
