My family and I took a trip to Castaway Bay to check out the hotel and indoor water park in exchange for a review. Regardless, all opinions are my own.
If you live on the East Coast (like me) you must be praying that spring is coming, because I am. With the arctic freeze… twice! And the snow and everything, I can’t wait to get that warm weather back. I am a warm weather girl and can’t wait until its so hot that people are saying they are ready for the cold. So we were excited to be invited up to Castaway Bay to take part in the mom blogger event.

The snow drifts slowed us down so we were late but had the chance to join in after we finished dinner. Once we got to the second area, we had crafts and ice cream! The boys got the chance to pick out some ice cream and put whatever topping they wanted on it. Then we chose a table and hung out with some of the bloggers. Noah and Hayden got the chance to paint a picture frame and both of them loved it.

After that, we headed to the water park. Since the last time we visited a water park was about a year before, we got to see what the boys were now brave enough to do. Noah is still afraid of the waves in the wave pool but walked as far as he could when the waves were off. We got Hayden to go down the water slides for the first time ever. He was scared the first time but once he went down, he realized he loved it.

At 9pm, some of the mom bloggers gathered in a conference room to try some local wine from Firelands Winery with some food. I thought it was an awesome idea, since I got the chance to talk to some other local ladies from around Ohio and some parts of Michigan. I was happy for the time to connect with some like-minded ladies and have some fun. And we did have fun! We also got to take home a bottle of wine. My husband can’t wait to try it.

The next day, we had to check out but had the entire day to play in the water park. Noah realized how much he loved the kiddie slides and even took some of the bigger slides on. Ok, not as big as Hayden’s slides but it was enclosed. Paul also tried to get Hayden to go down the biggest slide with him and he wouldn’t. So daddy went by himself. We all had lots of fun though and enjoyed every second of it. This part has to be one of my favorite parts of the water park.
