I was contacted to share the information provided by the NAIC and giveaway a “Life Kit”. I was compensated for this and all opinions below are my own.
I’ve shared more than once that life can throw you for a loop whether you are ready or not. Everyone likes to think that they are prepared for anything, but truth be told, you can’t really be prepared for everything. Our family is in the middle of a life change (which I’ll explain later this week) but the NAIC is here to help guide everyone through the changes that they may see today or later down the line when it comes to insurance.
After a winter like this, most of us are ready for a change. Spring is a time for renewal and planning — for some wedding bells will soon ring, while buyers and sellers are anxious to get into a new home. Tax refunds may even spark the desire to buy a new car. Spring can be exciting, but major life events have insurance implications. And all too often, people wait for something bad to happen before they worry about whether or not they have the right amount of coverage. The best time to get educated about insurance is when you’re in the process of making a major life decision, like buying a new car — before a related crisis, such as a car accident.
The NAIC offers plenty of information to help you get through those changes that everyone goes through in life: whether its marriage, having a baby or losing your job. You can visit the new Get Ready Resources page to see what you need to do just in case one of those life events happens to you. Insure U offers 5 Tough Questions to ask yourself and Take Action Now checklists to help you get ready (additional kits will be available this summer). hopefully the new house, but we have been looking for a long time.
I think I have went thru many of the Foxes life events like a wedding, building a home and a baby.
We are expecting a baby boy in September! Our first child so therefore our first adventure on becoming parents. We need the best advice and help regarding what we need to do before and after baby arrives.
Turning 50 and life change. Hopefully someday a new car. You never know what will happen. My husband had a fall a couple of months ago and had to have trauma surgery for a plate and screws in his head from facial and jaw fractures. We were just about to move and now things have really slowed down!!
We will be buying a new car in the summer.
