We had the pleasure of hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year since we happened to be home. Here’s the problem: our living room carpet has been a mess since we moved in. Plus, my boys have put many more stains in the carpet because they are boys and children! Seriously, Noah has taken a bottle of juice and just poured it on the floor. This kid tests me everyday. But, Zerorez Irvine Carpet Cleaning service has been a saviour.
So the day before Thanksgiving… on my day off, I scheduled an appointment with Stanley Steemer. They along with Carpet Cleaning Mauldin specialize in services such as carpet cleaning, furniture cleaning, air duct cleaning and water damage restoration. With more than 60 years as the dirt authority, Stanley Steemer cleaning experts are certified to remove more than 98 percent of dry soil from floors – a rate significantly higher than self-cleaning methods. It is super easy to schedule an appointment online. Just choose the rooms you want cleaned. You get a quote and get to chose a time.
The open time for them to come was between 9-11am. So I was lazy lying around the house thinking they wouldn’t show up until after 10. The guy rang the doorbell at about 9:20. He came in and introduced himself then asked to see the rooms here was here to clean. After showing him the rooms, he explained how much time he would need and what he was doing and then he was off to work. He played talked to the boys and answered their questions if they asked.. I tried to keep them out of his way as much as possible but they don’t listen. He even made it a point to show Paul and I the difference in the living room. I never knew how much that carpet needed to be cleaned until he cleaned it.
As you can see in the bottom right photo, there were these black spots all over the carpet. He got most of them out surprisingly! Again, they had been there since we moved in and they shampooed the carpet right before we moved in. They did an awesome job. The top picture is the play room in our family room. Noah spills plenty of things on the carpet so we made sure that was cleaned as well. We were also sent 2 stain remover bottles. These come in handy since because we got our carpets cleaned, Noah has been more messy then usual. I don’t know how many times it has saved us from having new red stains in the carpet from spaghetti.
Here are so tips from Stanley Steemer on keeping your carpet looking great!
- With the holidays come the house guests: Reduce the amount of dirt and mud that may get tracked into your home by using indoor and outdoor entrance mats.
- Pickup in a flash: Why deny the inevitable? At some point this season you’ll deal with red wine, gravy, pine needles or candle wax drippings on the carpet. Remember to act quickly to clean up any spills or stains; consider keeping a professional spot remover handy at all time or use items commonly found around the home such as white vinegar and baking soda.
- Dirt is the ultimate scrooge: Keep up with the high traffic areas in the home, especially during entertaining season, by vacuuming them two to three times a week and the rest of your carpets at least once a week.
