I don’t get to spend a lot of time with my best friends. One of them lives 6 hours away.. but either way, life gets in the way and sometimes a couple texts and a phone call a week is all we really get. Whenever we have the chance, we make it a point to have breakfast. We all are crazy about breakfast meals. I’m not sure why but a cup of nice warm coffee, pancakes, eggs and all that always makes for the best time between friends.

This past week, I made sure my friend Kim and I had the chance to meet for breakfast on her day off. We headed to Bob Evans to enjoy some kid-free time (with the exception of Olivia… she was sleeping). One of the reasons Bob Evans is one of our go-to places is because of the variety of breakfast food you can get. From fresh eggs collected from midwestern farms and the fresh, never frozen sausage patties and links. To the fresh baked buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy… one of my favorites! You can find something everyone likes.

I ordered one of my favorites: The Homestead Breakfast. I’m someone who loves a little bit of everything. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, ham and sausage gravy with biscuits. It was a lot of little me but I ate almost all of it. You can substitute a different bread for the biscuits or maybe you love home fries instead of hash browns. Your choice.

Kim went with an Omelet: Border Scramble Omelet to be exact. She loves spicy food (as I do) so it was the perfect combination of breakfast and spicy that she wanted. You get your choice of home fries or hash browns and bread. Kim went with Cinnamon Coffee Cake and I must say.. it was delicious. She couldn’t eat it all so I helped myself to taste it. Of course! What are best friends for!
Bob Evans will always been one of my favorite places for breakfast. I’m glad I got the chance to enjoy it with one of my best friends. Breakfast is served all day, along with the farmhouse feasts and family meals.
