Burrito-Fold saved my sanity

Olivia is 8 months old today.

It has been a crazy 8 months with her and we love it. She enjoys playing and laughing with her brothers. She thinks they are hilarious.

However, I had a little bit of trouble with the cloth diapers. I haven’t talked about using cloth much.. actually, I haven’t had a ton of time to update about the kids because we’ve been enjoying life. If you’ve been reading for a while, you know what I’ve decided to exclusively use Applecheeks cloth diapers with Olivia. We love the fit and the system (and the community is pretty awesome) so why not?

For a while, I was having issues with leaks. Olivia would have a diaper on for about 2.5 hours and her clothes would be wet when I go to change her. So every day, she was wearing at least 2 outfits or I would just change her pants. It was getting annoying. I had to wash her clothes more often on top of doing diaper laundry. Didn’t love that. Plus, the 3-ply insert I used at night was never soaked, but she’d leak onto her pajamas. I had to find a remedy.

I had heard a couple people talk about different folds for the diapers but I never tried because what we did was working for us. Well, it wasn’t anymore. I looked up the video below on burrito fold. I had heard it helped with leaking out of the top of the diaper which was what our problem was. It seems simple so I tried it. It fixed our issues and saved my sanity. Half the diapers during the day are burrito fold and it keeps her dry all night with her 3-ply. Try it if you cloth diaper. I love it!
