My family and I are always about having family meals. Whether we eat at home or go out to dinner, we try to make sure we’re all together (when we can be) when its time for dinner. Since I’ve had Olivia, its kind of hard to all eat together because she takes up so much of my time. So we were happy to be able to have sometime while she slept to have a dinner out at Bob Evans.
While the boys were excited to have breakfast at dinnertime, my husband and I decided to try out the 3-course dinners that are now available at Bob Evans. Bob Evans offers slow-roasted dinners, broasted chicken dinners, and steak dinners as well. While my husband chose the Broasted white meat chicken with mashed potatoes, I chose the turkey and stuffing with mashed potatoes. We love mashed potatoes obviously.
As part of the 3-course meal, you get an appetizer, main meal, and dessert. My husband enjoyed a salad with biscuits while I chose the chicken and noodles with pumpkin bread. By the way, you get your chose of bread and I was excited that one of the specialty breads were pumpkin. Its one of my favorite breads.
I loved the turkey and dressing. I felt like I was having thanksgiving dinner and I was hungry! The pumpkin bread went right along with it. I’m glad that’s what I picked, it made me feel like I was at home. My husband’s broasted chicken was delicious as well. I mean, he loved it, but I had a chance to try it as well and enjoyed the chicken. It reminded me of my grandma’s chicken.
Both of us were super full after eating but still had our 3rd part of the meal coming: dessert. We both picked a chocolate sundae and shared it with our boys.. which they were of course happy to do.
