Get ready to see Marvel Universe Live: Age of Heroes

I went on a blogger trip to learn about the live show and get some behind the scenes views. No other compensation was given. All opinions are my own.

I love Marvel superheroes.

You couldn’t keep me away from any of the Avengers movies because I had to see them. I’m playing catch up with all the superheroes of course because I didn’t see much when I was pregnant. However, when I heard they were making a live show called Marvel Universe Live Age of Heroes, I knew I had to see it.

What is Marvel Universe Live about? Just think about 25 Marvel characters joining together in 1 quest: Getting their hands on the Wand of Watoomb. So think about the Avengers protecting the universe with the Guardians of the Galaxy with a couple of other special characters. Yes!

I got the chance to tour around the Feld Entertainment building where they were rehearsing the show. Not sure if you’ve heard of Feld? You have. They’ve produced shows such as Monster Jam®, Monster Energy Supercross, AMSOIL Arenacross, Disney On Ice and Disney Live!

First things first: we chatted with Clark Myers and Louise Forsley (who play Captain America and Black Widow). They do a bunch of motorcycle stunts in the show. Check out the scene we got to view (and record) that is in the second half of the show.

Watching some of the special stunts was my favorite part. The Wasp uses her arms and hands to swing around and fly. It was awesome to attempt although I didn’t have the upper body strength to actually do it. So to watch me try was pretty funny.

I loved being able to check out the costumes that were finished. Below is the Wasp’s wings. So pretty!

And Doctor Who’s intricate (and awesome) Costume! Look at the details!

Before we saw the show, we got a tour of the building. My favorite part? The Costume room. More like Costume building! The space was huge! You can find every costume for everything Feld has produced including Barnum and Bailey circus! Going through the rows to see how their costumes have changed over the years. It still sad they are done.

As for the show:

Go see it! I loved how everyone worked together and how the characters were so true to character. Just because the show hasn’t started touring yet doesn’t mean that the actors weren’t ready to do their best for us. I was really into the show and realized my sons would love it as well. It is definitely something I would recommend as a family event.
