Giant Eagle opens Market District in Bexley!

I was invited to the grand opening of the Market District Express in Bexley. I was given a gift bag. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

I do my main shopping at Giant Eagle. It is my favorite grocery store because I know I can always find what I need. However, there are times when I’m out and just need a couple things but I don’t want to stop at Giant Eagle… just because it’s a large store. I end up spending more time in the store than I had planned on. Thankfully, when I venture into Bexley (which I do pretty often since it isn’t far from me), I can stop at the Market District Express and do a little quick shopping.

Market District Express is a unique shopping destination that offers the best of a grocery store but in a smaller setting. Think everything Giant Eagle has but condensed with fewer selections of each item. While it is made to be a one stop for a couple of things, you can still do all of your shopping here if you’d like. They opened the one in Bexley on Thursday, August 18th and I had the chance to get a tour!

The first floor carries everything that you would run to the store for. I’m always the one going for rice, or I forgot to get chicken for today’s meal. It happens to me all the time. So it would be quick to grab your item, head to one of the 8 checkouts, and head home. The second floor is more for household items and everything else not on the first floor. They have a great wine and beer selection. They have more than 400 different beers and over 1,200 varieties of wine.

There is also a restaurant on the second floor called Table by Market District. Nothing on the menu is more than $11 and you can also choose a bottle of wine from the store to have with your dinner! *There is a $10 uncorking fee. It has beautiful outdoor seating and a bar. Each glass of wine is $5. I can’t wait to try it out with my husband.

With all that listed above, don’t forget about the fuelperks, because it is part of Giant Eagle after all. Market District also offers Curbside Express, which is an online grocery ordering service. My local store doesn’t offer it yet so I’m hoping to get the chance to try it with them. Let me know your experiences with Market District!
