How active are you when it comes to supporting your military?
My brother has been active in the US Army for almost 10 years and it keeps me thinking about how often we contribute to making sure he’s safe and knows he’s loved. As a family, we send him messages letting him know he’s loved and hears from us as much as we can.
What can you do to support your military?
- Say thank you: Those words mean so much even if there isn’t anything else you can do.
- Mail cards: It doesn’t have to be to anyone specifically but everyone loves getting cards. A friend of mine actually made a bunch of cards that could be sent. Even a quick letter to say hello and you are thinking about them makes a difference.
- Donate food or send care packages: That was one of my mom’s favorite things to do.. sending my brother a package. It was something personal that just let him know we were thinking on him.
- Don’t forget the military dogs: You can send dog food and things like that. The animals need to be taken care of as well and you don’t want to forget about them.
