Every day, after picking up the boys and heading home, the first thing out of their mouth is “Mommy, can we have a snack?” Noah can’t quite say full sentences yet so its really just “A… snack?” But you get the point. They want something to snack on before dinner and I don’t want them to make a mess with whatever I give them.
When I first heard about the Nuby iMonster Snack Keeper, I knew it was something our family needed. One of their favorite snacks is goldfish crackers, which I normally put into a bowl. Noah has a habit of carrying around his bowl and spilling them where ever he is.. which means many cleanups for my husband and I. I don’t like the containers where you have to remove the plastic top because that makes it worse. He has dumped the whole bowl on the floor because he can’t get it open. The snack keeper not only holds enough for snack time but keeps them inside the bowl until he wants 1 or 5.
My favorite feature of the snack keeper is how tight the closer is.
Yes, I have some trouble getting the lid off sometimes but I love that! If it wasn’t tight, Noah would be able to get the lid off himself. That is what keeps me from putting their snacks and dry cereal in a regular bowl. And the snack keeper isn’t just for Noah, Hayden uses it too. He thinks the shape is hilarious and loves how it travels. Once Noah figured out how to use it, he takes it where ever he goes. I’ve actually stopped at home before picking up the boys to fill it so that we can go do our shopping after work.
