Since I haven’t officially announced it on my blog (other than the button on my sidebar), I found out a couple of weeks ago that I was chosen to be a Verizon Wireless MidWest Savvy Mom! How awesome is that? So in the next couple of weeks, I’ll be showing off this new device they gave me… but first, let me tell you about my adventure.
I arrived in Chicago Friday morning and took the train downtown. I wasn’t thinking and was already late AND also didn’t think it would be hard to find the building. Oh I was wrong. I got to one of the streets and just freaked out a little. My best friend’s mom help me get to the building though and I walked in a little late right before lunch. This was the first time I was in a room with a bunch of other bloggers and I was excited. Do you know how often I speak to bloggers? All the time! But online. I’ve never actually met any of them before. So it was awesome to put a face to a blog. We introduced ourselves and chatted about what we thought was going to be the device. You see, we didn’t know until we opened the box as well. We all got the Samsung Galaxy III! Yeah, you know that awesome new android phone? Right!
I’m still working on learning the phone. I had an android phone before I got my iPhone but its been about 9 months and I don’t remember a thing. But re-learning a phone is so much fun! My favorite part right now is the phone being a hot spot. That means I can go anywhere with my laptop and have internet. I love it. I promise you that there will be more updates but don’t worry. I can’t wait to learn more about this phone.
Saturday was the Brand & Bloggers Summit ’12. That is a post in itself. I have to tell you though, if you are a blogger, you must go to a conference. It was great and I learned so much! I’ll make sure to post when I have a chance and I’m so thankful to Verizon to sending me to my first. After the conference, my very best friend came into Chicago to spend the night with me! She lives just outside the city so we had dinner and hung out until we crashed. She took me to the fountain! So beautiful!
Ok I can’t wait to share more with you but you’ll just have to wait!
