I was given a tour of the new Mod Pizza restaurant and tasted the pizza. No other compensation was given. All opinions are my own.
Who loves pizza? Because I’m guilty.
We probably have pizza every other week. I used to work at a pizza shop in my young adult days. So I can never turn down trying out a new pizza shop when they open up. Mod Pizza opened up a new restaurant on Morse Rd this past Saturday and I was lucky enough to get a behind the scenes tour and get to try the product.
If you’ve never had Mod Pizza, they are slightly different than other pizza places. Instead of charging you for each individual ingredient, you chose a size and your toppings and the price is the same for everyone. I mean that depends on if you want a Mini (6-inch), Mod (11-inch) or a (double 11-in crust).
Choosing your topping might be the hard part. They have so many to choose from AND you can pick different sauces. I went with my signature ham, pineapple, and bacon. It was suggested that i try the barbecue sauce with that combination but I’m not a huge fan of it so I just had some on one slice. I have to tell you, it was so delicious that when we returned on opening day, I got barbecue sauce as my base!
“MOD’s gas-fired ovens cook at 800-degrees so it only takes a few minutes, depending on the number of toppings, to cook your pizza.” And seriously, the oven in huge so they can cook a bunch at once. Olivia had a mini cheese or The “Maddy”. As you can see, she enjoyed it.

We took Hayden and Noah on opening day since my husband and older kids weren’t able to try it when I did. I think this might be their favorite pizza place! My husband and I enjoyed it as well. My favorite part? Not having to figure out a pizza that everyone has to eat. We can all get our own and share.. if we want to.
