I was given admission to Room Escape Adventures in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
When is the last time you were able to go out with your friends and just have a wonderful time? It isn’t often for us because we seem to all be on different schedules so it’s hard. And who doesn’t want to at least get to have some fun with their friends, no matter what age you are?
When I took a look at some of the different escape rooms that Room Escape Adventures now offers, I was blown away.
Last time we visited, there was only 2 rooms.
- Trapped in a room with a Zombie
- DaVinci’s Last meatball
- Escape the WildWest
- Escape the 80’s Dance Party
- Pirate Booty Mobile escape
I knew that some of my friends wouldn’t take too kindly to being trapped with a zombie (even if it is fake) so I chose to do the Escape the 80’s Dance party! You can have up to 10 people in this escape room as well. So my husband and I invited 6 of our friends and family to take on the challenge with us and help us escape an 80’s dance party.
Our group met in the room right before our scheduled time and met DJ Mike Drop.
He was our host and totally in character. We were invited to a party in his basement and the door got stuck closed. We only had an hour to find the screwdriver to get out before his parents got home. The game was packed with classic 80’s movies and songs. We had a good old fashioned air guitar battle and worked hard to get out. Unfortunately, we didn’t get it in time. We literally needed like another 30 seconds and we would have made it. That doesn’t mean we didn’t have a great time.
We tried to make it a “couples” night but had a last minute cancellation so the odd couple had to dance together at one point. I don’t want to give away anything else so let’s just say everyone had a wonderful time and can’t wait to get back. Next time, we’ll try another room!
Thank so much to Room Escape Adventures for hosting us! Looking to book an escape yourself? Head to the website to find the closest location to you.
