You may know how to keep your family happy during a road trip, but how do you prepare your car for that same trip? There are ways to prep your car and there are also ways to take care of the inside of the car. You can take your car to Reedman Toll for the basic stuff such as an oil change and things like that but it’s your job to take care of the inside.
Manage your Trash
This may be hard but as long as you take 30 seconds at the end of your car ride to put your trash into a designated bag, you can keep trash to a minimum. I have a bad habit of not paying attention to the trash my children leave in the car and boy, it can get hard to manage sometimes.
Organize your glovebox
This is something I have a hard time doing. My registration, insurance and everything else is pretty much tossed in there with the extra napkins we need. A little organization can go a long way and keeps you from searching for something.
Behind the seat organizer
I’ve seen these things everywhere but never thought that I would need one until now. You can put your child’s games, toys and anything else that keeps them occupied in the organizer so you can find it quickly. It is also a perfect place for snacks: Not reaching for you required.
Put together a survival kit
You may think this won’t keep you organized but it will. For me, my survival kit would have some extra snacks, a travel game (that isn’t already being played), maybe some cash just in case and all my needed phone numbers. You never know what could happen.
Emergency kit for the trunk
Organization means finding things faster when something bad strikes. I mean what happens if you get a flat tire? Do you have everything in your truck that you may need? Make sure to check that out before hopping onto the road.
These are just a couple things I do to make sure the inside of the car is just as “happy” as we are during and after a road trip. Make sure you make your list to keep the inside of your car clean for your next drive.
