Snack Size Parfaits with Granola

July 7, 2020 by Ashley T

This is a sponsored post brought to you by Whirlybird granola and Ball Mason Jars. All opinions are my own.

It’s summertime and right now, my children have been out of school for a month already. Yes, a month. I’m not sure how I’ve made it through the month but we still have over 2 more months to go before they head back. I’ve been working on healthy meals and snacks we can have while they are out. But also trying to make them easy enough to convert into something the boys could take to school with them.

If they could, my boys would have yogurt every day.

They are always asking for my yogurt. I was purchasing the tube yogurts but I’d rather them have the yogurt we eat; with less sugar. I mean, they do love a good parfait and I’ve always tried to have fruit in the house over the summer. This is where the snack size parfait was born.

Snack Size Parfaits
This is a simple recipe that the kids can make themselves. Perfect to go into a cooler if we plan on eating lunch outside of the house. And will travel easily to school and back. I used Whirlybird granola’s vanilla berry granola as a topping and it was perfect. It tastes like the homemade granola I used to eat when I was little. Make this recipe your own. Add different kinds of fruit and mix it up!

  1. Start by spooning a layer of yogurt into the bottom of the jar.
  2. Add a layer of your fruit.
  3. Alternate layers until the container is full to where the lid is put on. Leave space for granola.
  4. Add granola if you plan on eating right away. Place in a baggie if you don't so it doesn't get soggy.
