Hate wasting gas?
Winter seems to be the time where the most gas is wasted. I mean its freezing in the upper half of the country and while we love our gas, we all hate being cold. So we use the gas we love to warm up our cars and in the process, end up using more than we need to. Here are ways to save your gas during the winter.

Contrary to popular belief, restarting your car does not burn more fuel than leaving it idling. In fact, idling for just 10 seconds wastes more gas than restarting the engine.
There are plenty of other ways to save your gas if you must step into a warm car.
Make sure all of your store runs are done in one trip. This guarantees that you aren’t restarting your car and letting it run constantly. Also, buy a fuel-efficient car (such as an electric one) to help conserve the gas. Remove things you don’t need from your car, reducing the weight of the car. Less weight uses less gas.
You can also slow down. By reducing your speed, you can save gas. If you travel to work every day, have you ever thought about a carpool? Carpooling with someone else can cut your gas consumption in half if you split the days you drive. You can cut it even more if there are more people or you don’t drive at all and use a service.
One last thing: Make sure you are doing the proper maintenance of your car. By just making sure you have your car has had an oil change, the tires are properly inflated and have good air filters can help you save gas. These can be done at your service station. These things may be something small, but in the end, you’ll be heading to the pump less often. You can spend your money on other things.
