Update on my lovely boys

January 26, 2014 by Ashley T

I love that my boys are growing up. Its amazing how much they learn and internalize that its crazy.

Noah is 3. He refuses to use the bathroom… he knows its time to be potty trained and he hates that we want him to use the “big potty”. Its been a fight and he’s not budging. He knows when his father is calling him to take a nap. That’s a fight as well. He loves his snacks but enjoys fruit so much more than Hayden ever did. He so smart and makes sure he knows what he’s talking about.. or tries at least.

Hayden will be 7 on February 13th. We found out last week that his a level I in reading. He would be a level J but he needs to work on comprehension. Regardless of that fact, he never wants read to us. Sometimes I think he just doesn’t want to show off. Other times I think he wants us to believe that he can’t read that well. Obviously, there is no way to hide it. He is an awesome big brother all though we can tell he takes advantage of that sometimes.

As I’ve mentioned before, both boys are into cars. It something that they both enjoy and something that they both can’t live without. I mean, Noah will go down the street asking what every car is. It doesn’t matter what it is. Seriously, it doesn’t matter… “Look, its a car like mommy! and Look, that one is like daddy! Wait, daddy, what care is that one?” And my husband or I answer the best we can. I mean, half the time I wouldn’t have any idea what the model of the car is, as long as I give them an answer like “Hm, it says its a car from Ames Ford.” Noah will take that. Hayden however, will tell you everything he could possibly know about the car. Yes, I am jealous that my son knows so much more about it that I do.

Don’t worry, I plan to have more updates on the boys soon. I can’t believe they are getting so old. They grow up so fast!

find out something your son really wants and use rewards of the bathroom to works towards it. as this worked for my son to get an action figure he really wanted

Tried that, it doesn't work. He just doesn't care.
