Have you taken a leap lately?

When is the last time you took a chance at something? When is the last time you took that leap?

The last time I took a major leap in my life was when I quit my job and started relying on my businesses. My husband is the major breadwinner in the house.. I won’t lie. But my passion is photography and I have loved working on my blog so doing those things and staying at home with our kids is what I wanted to do. I had the chance, so I jumped at it.

Its been hard getting used to it the last almost 2 years. I have to get used to not seeing adults every day like I would before. I get lonely sometimes because I mainly only talk to my children most days. However, if I stayed, I wouldn’t get this wonderful time with them and Olivia wouldn’t know what its like to be with her mom all day.

So towards the end of the year last year, I knew there was something missing. I decided to sign up for some classes. I personally haven’t been in college for about 8 years or so. But it’s been weighing on me to do something with my life. Not that I’m changing what I’m doing or who I plan on being. Just that I want to make myself better. So I’m working towards my associates in digital photography.

I self-taught everything I know about photography and taking pictures so learning the correct way and making myself better is the plan. I’m having fun with it and can’t wait to apply everything I know (plus more) every season that comes around. My first class has been awesome!

Take a leap this year and do something you’ve been thinking about for a long time. Do it! You only live once, you know?
