My Top 5 Favorite Holiday Movies

December 7, 2011 by Ashley T

I’ve been wanting to write this post since right after my birthday. I LOVE holiday movies! I mean seriously who doesn’t? (Don’t answer that question) LOL Anyway, don’t quote me on these movies. These are just MY top 5 favorite movies. Do you want to do one too? I’d love to check yours out. This is a blog hop linky so grab the linky if you’d like!

These are just MY top 5 favorite holiday movies

5. A Christmas Story– I am totally the type of person who would watch the movie from 8pm Christmas eve until 8pm Christmas night. I can’t get enough. “OH FUUUUUUUDDDGGGGGGGEEEEE!” LOL.

4. The Santa Clause– Another classic. Something about Tim Allen being Santa Clause is just funny. And the cute little boy named Charlie just makes it even better. “We’re your worst nightmare. Elves with attitude. ”

3. A Charlie Brown Christmas– My husband and I argued about having this on the list. He says its a TV special so it shouldn’t be considered a movie. I say, its a classic and should be included because its something we watch. My blog, my rules. LOL “I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It’s not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love.”

2. Elf– This movie isn’t that old but it can and will always make me laugh. They knew they had a hit when they got Will Ferrell to be Buddy the Elf. My favorite part is where he gets hit by the taxi and fall straight over. “I’m sorry, I’m SORRY!”  “Buddy the elf, what’s your favorite color?”.

My top Movie? Home Alone! I don’t know how you could watch this movie and not laugh. Hayden watched it for the first time last week and was pretty much laughing the entire last hour of the movie. He loved it so much that we watched the second one right after. That one got him too. Now he wants to watch the movie all the time. No problem with me! “You guys give up yet? Or are you thirsty for more?”

Now for the honorably mentioned movies: I like so many but its hard to put it all into a list. I do however love Polar Express. Since I have only seen it once, I can’t put it into my top 5. I just watched the whole thing a couple of days ago. Another movie would me Mickey’s Christmas Carol. I haven’t seen that movie in such a long time but I wish I could watch it again! Its a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street are classics of course but not my all time favs.

Home alone is a fantastic movie on a few levels, but my favorite christmas movie is definitely Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. Love those muppets!
