Because that number keeps growing

September 5, 2013 by Ashley T

I never really thought about where I’d be when I turned 30. Yes, I was one of those people who thought about what they wanted to be, how they were going to achieve it but I never had a set timeline… like I’m going to be doing “blank” when I turn 30. It was never that deep. Until I got closer and closer to my 30th birthday. And that day happens to be 16 days away.

Now, all I can seem to think about is what I haven’t done yet. And then I try to figure out why. I dont like living in the past. The past is just that for a reason. However, I always thought I’d be closer to doing what I wanted to do by now, and I’m not as far along as I hoped I would be. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m happy and I love where life has brought me. I just wish I had a bigger footprint left in history.

So, I decided to make a bucket list… of things I want to do before my 40th birthday. It gives me 10 years to feel like I’ve done something with my life. And I’m really hoping I can get something done because the year I turn 40 is the same year my oldest turns 16. Yeah I know, I can’t think of Hayden being 16 right now. Its freaking me out. Matter of fact, Noah will be turning 13 that year. Oh my. Anyway, here are some things I will have listed on my bucket list:

  • Go outside of the country.. not sure where I would visit
  • Visit Las Vegas to just see it and visit family
  • Take a family vacation (I’m thinking beach or Florida)
  • Take a photography class
  • Get professional family pictures of the family done (already scheduled)

I know there has to be more but right at the moment, I can’t think of anything. What is on your bucket list to complete in the next 10 years? Let me know in the comments what you need to complete.
