This past weekend, my husband and I packed up and make the 2 hour drive to Cedar Point. Yes, we have already gone this summer but we were headed there for a different reason this time: Bloggy Conference 2013. You’ve probably seen me looking for sponsorship for that conference but it had finally arrived. I was really ready to get some knowledge from some speakers who really knew their stuff, meet some bloggers who I had chatted with but never met before, and just grow as a blogger.

Bloggy Conference 2013 was designed to offer a new and continuously developing approach to growth, networking and education in social media. I am so thankful to Tiffany (of Bloggy Moms) and Cedar Point for putting this conference together. I definately feel like I have grown though this experience and met some new bloggy friends in the process.
Some Highlights:
- We had an amazing view from our hotel room and I made sure to enjoy it every morning and evening. We stayed at Hotel Breakers (on the island) and our room overlooked Lake Erie so we were right off the beach. I even got up early on Sunday morning and walked the beach a little bit.

- When we registered, I (again) got the chance to meet some of the people and sponsors behind BloggyCon. It is seriously amazing when someone recognizes you from your twitter account before you get the chance to realize who they are. I don’t think I will ever get used to that.
- On Saturday morning, I got the chance to check out the 2014 Honda Oddessey, which includes a vaccuum cleaner! Now, I don’t know you about you but as a mom, I am so excited that they put on in the car! How much easier would cleaning out the car be! I love it! I also received my #hondalove bear which I took a couple pictures with and posted them. Honda also lead one of the meetings and I got a lot of information out of that session.

My HondaBear and I are checking my notes. - I attended a breakout session on Pinterest: one of my favorite places to visit on the web. I am thankful for Amiyrah of 4 Hats and Frugal for making it so much more interesting to me. That might not be a good thing since I already spend a lot of time on pinterest!
- Amy from One Artsy Mama taught me more about community. I love her bubbly attitude and it made the session go by so fast! I can’t wait to apply some of the things she showed me.
- I spent Saturday afternoon riding the rides at Cedar Point and just enjoying myself with my family. We stayed as late as we could and got some great shots of the park. Cedar Point is running Halloweekends right now so its a scary place to be (but family friendly of course). I got a great kick out of the my nephew being so scared at one point that he used his phone to make the area brighter.. which also made him a target to scare.

One of the old rides that was torn down is still used during Halloweekends!
I love how they lit up the ride in so many different colors at night! - Sunday I didn’t want to leave! I attended the last couple of things that BloggyCon put on and was sad when we finished. I learned so much from these bloggers and wanted it to continue.
- Lastly, I got the chance to meet so many people. I finally had a chance to meet Tree (from Mother of Pearl it is) who has been one of my bloggy besties for a long time. I also met Lesli (from Put a Little Umbrella in your Drink) whom I’ve worked with for a while. I also got to meet some new people and connect with some Ohio Bloggers that I’ve been e-mailing back and forth for months. That I think was my favorite part!
This was my second conference experience and I think my favorite one (only because I had a chance to prepare for it!). If you are thinking about going to a conference, do it. You won’t regret it!
