I’ve been the only woman in this household since we got married. Two pregnancies and both boys filled my house with more men and that’s not my favorite thing. I feel just a little overrun. I mean, I’m happy it’s 3 to 1 and not at all worse but I always found myself wondering when we’d even it out just a little bit.
Well, we finally did it. I’m proud to say we adopted my “little sister” and brought her home a couple weeks ago. Aniko (nicknamed Koko) was my mom’s dog. She is a beautiful Siberian Husky and my mom has had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is 3 years old now and my mom doesn’t have as much time for her. To keep her in the family, we brought her home with us.

It’s been an adjustment for her and us. We haven’t had a pet in a couple of years. Luckily she’s been trained so as long as we followed what she’s used to, we won’t have any problems with her. And we haven’t. It took her a couple of days to get used to being in our house. She’s gotten playful now and crazy sometimes just like she normally is when we used to visit.
I’m excited to have her in our family and I hope she’s as excited to be here with us… As she bothers me while I’m typing. 🙂
