Another year older

This past Sunday, I turned 31.

Its been a long year. I’ve changed and embraced it. Its been hard.. not only on me, but on my family and its been ok. For the first time ever, I don’t rely on a job for money. For the first time ever, I’ve become more self sufficient. To you, those 2 statements may seem like they contradict each other, but let me share my story

Back in May, I announced that I was quitting my full time job to stay at home and becoming a work at home mom. It was a decision that I had made years ago (with my husband) but we thought I still had years before we could make it happen. Then we stumbled on the perfect opportunity where I got to spend the summer with my boys and be prepared for the everything else to come.

With school back in full swing, we’re all busy. My husband is getting his MBA, Hayden is in the 2nd grade, and Noah is starting his first year in preschool. On top of all that, Hayden is playing soccer until the end of October so I am running. Don’t get me wrong, I am no where near complaining. I love it. Its made me a better mom… being able to stay at home and be with my children. But it has changed me, which is why my blog has changed. I’ve grown and becoming a different person and I’m hoping to show that off here on the blog.

I promised a hair update this week but I’m headed to Las Vegas tomorrow so its going to have to wait until next week when I have more time. But make sure to return for more.
