As you’ve seen previously, my family and I are a huge Disney family. We enjoy watching the original Aladdin as often as we can. However, we weren’t able to see the new Live-Action Aladdin in theaters. We had so much going on that we just didn’t get to the theater. I think maybe I was a little worried about it compared to the old one.
I decided that the release of the 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD of both movies would be the perfect time to sit down as a family and watch both movies back to back.
Olivia and I headed to Build-a-Bear to make new Aladdin friends first.
If you head into a Build-a-Bear, you have the choice to build Jasmine or Genie. The Aladdin bear is available online. We went on National Teddy Bear day and got both Jasmine and Genie for $35. They were out of the Jasmine outfits which made me sad. However, we were able to get the Genie outfit for $10.
Make sure you clean and brush the bears after getting them stuffed to your liking. I like mine a little bit more firm than a regular bear. After getting the bears dressed, we made sure to name them. I chose Genie and Jasmine of course. Then we headed home to check out the movies.
I pretty much know all the words to the original Aladdin. It is one of my favorite movies! Because of the release of the new movie, the 1992 version of Aladdin is being re-released today on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD. You can order a copy of it here. And don’t forget to get the live-action Aladdin as well.
