I was sent screening tickets to see the movie before it was released. All opinions below are my own.
I remember reading this book when I was younger and I’m proud to say that my children often read it now because it hasn’t gone out of style. Its one of those books that reminds you to just live your day, even it IS terrible and horrible and all that. This is why I was so excited to take my boys to see the movie when I heard it was in the making.

Alexander’s day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities. Though he finds little sympathy from his family and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him, his mom, dad, brother, and sister all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. ~IMDb
My review:
I thought the movie was super cute and hilarous. Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner were made to be the parents of Alexander. All the positivity shown throughout the movie came from them. I thought Ed Oxenbould was a great pick for Alexander. He fit the part and made him come alive from the book. I also love that even though you can’t really just made a movie from this kids book, they made sure to include elements from the book (like Alexander having gum stuck in his hair) a part of the movie. And what was my Favorite line? “Let’s Go Wreck it Ralph!”
