BabyGirl is 4 months old!

February 18, 2016 by Ashley T

It has been almost  2 weeks since Olivia turned 4 months old. I’ve been so busy with her, the boys, school and just everything else going on that I haven’t had a chance to write much so finally… and update!

Olivia
It seems Olivia learns something new every single day. I love that we can wake up and she does something different. Last week, she giggled for the first time. She loves to try and catch your fingers. She recognizes her brothers and laughs every time they are around. I can even count on them to keep her happy while I’m making dinner if she isn’t taking a nap. She loves to be involved in everything so she tries to not take a nap. However, we are almost on a schedule. She knows when its time for bed.

Just this week I stopped breastfeeding. I’ve been having issues with it and I finally decided that although I love breastfeeding, I needed to let it go. It was bringing un-needed stress to not only me but to my marriage. I felt like I was taking the stress of everything out on my husband. So one less thing to stress about. Olivia doesn’t seem to mind but it did make me sad.

Olivia
We have been cloth diapering for almost 4 months. We didn’t start until Olivia was about 2 weeks old. I love it. I always hated going out and buying diapers all the time. Yes, I have to watch the diapers about every 2 days but it doesn’t bother me. Plus they don’t bother Olivia. We exclusively use Applecheeks diapers. I think I have a great wash down as well so I’ll keep updating once I make sure.

One last thing: I took Olivia to visit my mom last month. It’s a 2-hour flight each way and was awesome! I was prepared to have an upset screaming baby and she slept most of the flight both ways. I think as long as she has her mom, she’s ok.
