I was given passes to see a screening of Maleficent. All opinions below are my own.
Like most of you, I grew up on the Disney Story, Sleeping Beauty. The story is one known all over.I knew exactly what happened: A witch cursed a baby and she grew up to fulfill that curse. But True Love’s Kiss broke the curse (and the witch was defeated) and Sleeping Beauty had happy ending. Are we all sure we know the story? Well, in Disney Maleficent tells the untold story:
From Disney comes Maleficent-the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal-an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom-and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.

I was able to see the movie in IMAX 3D which is amazing by the way. If you get the chance to see it that way, do it! Beautiful! Disney never ceases to amaze me. They pick the top everything to make a movie to be sure it looks as good as they are known for. And it does. So many different colors, and everything blends in so well.

I hope to have the chance to take my boys to see this movie. Disney Maleficent is great and will teach a lesson that parents can’t always teach. You can also follow the movie in social media: Facebook and Twitter.
