I’ve shared a couple things this year that I haven’t shared before. Or at least didn’t do often.
- I shared my weight loss journey (Thanks to Nutrisystem)
- I explained my diagnosis of IIH.
- I’ve posted more pictures of myself then I can remember
So, I wanted to make sure I posted an update of as many things as I could think of because it’s important to me not only to share my experience but to keep track of my accomplishments.
Weight Loss
I finished Nutrisystem over the summer and promised myself I would slowly try to continue to lose weight. I didn’t notice that without Nutrisystem, it was harder for me to lose but not impossible. See, I tend to get extremely busy with school so I haven’t been to the gym as often as I’d like but I keep moving. I’m happy to say that I got down to 147lbs which is almost exactly 40lbs of lost weight. Love my current body and I’m happy!
IIH
If you remember, IIH stands for Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. You can find out more in my last post. I’ve been taking the medication for a while and went in for a follow-up appointment this past Monday. This appointment wasn’t just a follow-up; I took a field test to check my blind spots.
Good news: They are much better. And my optic nerve hasn’t been swollen for a couple of months so I can lessen the amount of medication I’m taking. I have to go back in 2 months to make sure lessening the meds doesn’t trigger anything. However, the weight loss paired with the medication is supposed to help so fingers crossed!
