My family and I got tickets to see the screening of Frozen before it was released. All opinions are our own.
I have always been (and always will be) a sucker for Disney animated movies. Its just something about their animation that puts you right into the store and pulls you in like you live it. There was no exception for Disney’s newest film: Frozen. But before I get deep into what I (and my family) thought about this movie, let me give you some basics of the film.

Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey – teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. From the outside Anna’s sister, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret-she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It’s a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can’t stop. She fears she’s becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.~Written byDeAlan Wilson for ComedyE.com
Our Review:
Overall, we enjoyed the movie. I thought the graphics were perfect and the backstory was executed perfectly. I mean, you have to know more about the princesses and love them before anything happens. I think a lot of children can relate to Elsa’s situation. Not that any of them has magical powers or anything but she was so afraid of what she would do to other that she kept away from everyone, even cut of ties with her best friend: her sister. But I love the fact that even though Elsa cut her off for all those years, Anna never stopped loving her sister and always made sure to help her, regardless of the situation.
Loves: The message and Olaf. OMG Olaf was my favorite character. Even my boys told me that their favorite scenes were ones with Olaf in them. He was a hilarious little snowman!
Dislikes: All the music. Ok, I know that Disney movies are all about the singing.. I know this. But I wasn’t a fan in this movie. Some of the songs fit but I didn’t see the need for every single one.
Overall, as a family, we gave this movie 4.5 stars (out of 5). But don’t count on my account, check it out yourself. Here is the trailer and maybe take some time this long weekend and check it out yourself. You can also follow Frozen on Facebook or follow the hashtag: #DisneyFrozen
