I was given passes to go to a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy. All opinions below are my own.
As I’ve said before, I am a huge fan of Marvel movies… basically super hero movies overall. However, I didn’t know much about Guardians of the Galaxy. I’m a movie fan but never read any of the comics so I never really knew the story before hand. I don’t think that takes anything away from me being a fan.. I just have to do a little more research then most. So here is the basics on Guardians of the Galaxy.
After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, human Peter Quill is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. To help fight Ronan and his team and save the galaxy from his power, Quill creates a team known as the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to save the world.
My review:
Loved it! Ok, this is a great movie to show kids that a bunch of people who you wouldn’t think belong together could make the perfect team. Chris Pratt is hilarious (especially with his cassette player) and handsome. He had a great sense of humor about everything but her mother was still in the back of his mind. He ended up getting mixed up with Gamora, Groot and Rocket because he had a reward for his head (and had the orb). I thought Groot was awesome even though it couldn’t say much and Rocket was just Rocket. He was cool but always had a chip on his shoulder because he was made. Then you have Drax: He learned a lot and realized that revenge isn’t always the best.
My favorite character would be Gamora. I am a huge Zoe Saldana fan and she didn’t disappoint. She kicked butt and took what came to her (since she was always known to be on the bad side). I loved her and I think everyone else will too. Here is the trailer if you haven’t see it!
