Ok so I am not one to get dressed up very often. Seriously. I was hard for me to go natural (with my hair) because I like everything in its place. Yes, I think sometimes I am that anal. So, when I try a hairstyle, it takes me a while to get used to it. My cousin’s wedding was this past Sunday so I knew I had to come up with something that would look nice but not too messy for me. I found a wedding hairstyle I liked but soon realized in the trial run that my hair isn’t long enough to work it. I’ve been growing my hair out for a year and it isn’t long enough. It kind of made me discouraged but I came out with my own simple hairstyle and loved it. By the way, every picture on this post was taken by my Samsung Galaxy 3 so check out the quality this phone can put out.
Don’t you just love it? Just a braid across the front and just a twist out in the back. I got so many complements on it and I was surprised. But not only that, I feel like I am about the size I’d like to be… or at least trying to be. I can fit back into my dress that I bought 3 years ago so I pulled it out and put on a new pair of heels and got all pretty. No make up though. I wanted to wear make up because I know I don’t do it very often but when I realized how hot it actually was outside, I decided against it. I’m glad I did. I tend to get very oily in the face when its hot and I’m wearing make up. Plus, I didn’t realize that the wedding would be outside. But I felt beautiful.
I wore heels which I rarely do. I have been trying to work myself up to some type of heel not really knowing what I was doing and whether or not I could even do it.. I mean I’m getting close to my 30s and haven’t really done the heel thing. I bought a pair of wedge heels thinking it would help so much… and it did. I felt confident in myself knowing that I could walk in them. I felt so pretty and it helped that everyone else thought so. I don’t get that often.. and sometimes its hard for me. Check me out.. I need to do this more often.
