I promised I'd show off my #naturalhair

June 19, 2012 by Ashley T

It takes me forever to get a picture of myself that I like.

However, I decided this week, I would wear my hair natural. Yes, I did not flat iron my hair this past Sunday like normal. Matter of fact, I braided my hair Saturday night and took them out yesterday (Monday) morning before work and left. I’ve done it before, you know when I still had those relaxed ends but it didn’t come out right at all. I thought I wouldn’t even like this braid-out. I thought that I would never like my hair just “Out”. I was wrong. It took me a couple hours today to realize how much I love my hair like this! I really need a little more time to undo my braids in the morning… and yeah, I do have to re-braid my hair at night. You don’t want to see what my hair looks like slept on! Horrible! I can’t sleep straight! Anyway, here is my first braid-out totally natural. Look for more because I will be experimenting more when I have a chance.

Looks fab!!! I'm so over relaxed/processed hair. Took me getting pregnant to break the relaxation/flat iron cycle. My roots are growing in--so curly!! Can't wait to cut off these dull relaxed ends and figure out how to style my hair again! :)

very pretty...it's funny how your worried about wearing your hair natural and I'm worried about wearing it straight! I worry so much about flat ironing it. What is the process you use to straighten it? Can't wait till my hair is long enough to put in a puff...or braid for that matter.

I think I've been so used to to wearing it straight that I'm afraid I won't like it. I do flat iron my hair but I use heat protectant and the lowest setting so u don't over heat.

I love it! I wish my hair had some sort of curl in it at all, but it doesn't.
