I have been obsessed with fish tacos the last couple of weeks because they taste A-MAZING! I don’t mind stopping at one of those taco trucks every once in a while to get a taste but sometimes, you don’t want to have to do that, you want to be able to just make them on your own. So I checked out a couple different recipes online and researched some different kinds of fish to see what we’d like.
As you know, tilapia is a type of fish that doesn’t have that overly fishy taste, so its perfect for anyone in your house that doesn’t like fish. This is why I picked it for my first venture. I knew the boys would love to taste it and they love fish sticks but I’m not sure how well they would do with the fishiest fish out there (is fishiest even a word?). It went over well in my house and I can’t wait to try it with other fish.

Fish Tacos
Ingredients:
- 3 Tilapia fillets
- garlic powder
- ground red pepper
- Paprika
- Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp oil
- diced tomatoes or your favorite salsa
- chopped cilantro
- soft corn taco shells
Directions:
Season your fish fillets with the 4 seasonings listed above. Make sure you cover both sides with seasonings and add as much or as little as you’d like. The taste is really up to you. Add the oil to a pan and heat to medium heat. Cook each side of the fish for about 3-4 minutes (longer if the fillet is thicker) and remove from heat. Flake the fish into chunks and set aside.
On another flat pan, heat taco shells over medium heat (no oil needed). Make sure to flip every couple of minutes so that you don’t burn either side.
Add some fish into the shell, top with tomatoes and cilantro. Enjoy!
