Tips and Tricks for Keeping Your Skin Young

December 13, 2019 by Ashley T

Before you start noticing little wrinkles around your eyes and mouth, you need to start taking care of your skin. If you don’t, then it may wrinkle, sag and become blotched. There are essential steps that you can take to help keep your skin looking healthy and young.

Collagen

While you can get collagen shots at a dermatologist’s office, you can also take collagen internally. Collagen helps to keep your skin healthy, makes it more elastic and better able to maintain moisture. You can find collagen capsules to supplement your diet. Taking collagen encourages the body to make even more, so wrinkles are reduced. When your body gets enough collagen, then it produces specific proteins that also help to keep your skin younger-looking. Some collagen-rich foods are chicken and bone broth.

Amino Acids

Some amino acids have been shown to relax the face muscles, which can reduce wrinkles. These amino acids, called hexapeptides, helps to minimize face movement in the same way that Botox does. Other amino acids, called palmitoyl oligopeptides and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7s, help repair skin damage and may slow down UV damage to your skin. Still, different amino acids, called copper peptides, helps the skin retain its elasticity and firmness along with making your skin look younger. You will find argireline in many facial creams because it stops muscles from contracting to prevent wrinkles. Argireline also stimulates your body’s natural production of collagen. Another amino acid that helps to keep your skin looking younger is arbutin, which is found naturally in blueberries, cranberries and pears. As explained by My Botox LA, it works alongside argireline to brighten the skin and keep it healthy.

Water

One of the most natural things that you can do to make sure that your skin stays healthy and young-looking is to drink water. When your skin is properly hydrated, it looks plumper and less dry. It also stays more elastic. Staying hydrated also helps flush toxins out of the skin, which can make it look healthier. It also makes you less likely to have oily or acne-prone skin.

It is your job to take good care of your skin by feeding it collagen and the right amino acids and keeping it hydrated. As a result, you will look younger, and you may even save money because you will not need as many expensive beauty products. You will also feel better as your body will be healthier.
