Everyone knows that sometimes, one of the best parts of watching your children grow up is to listen to how the pronounce words until they get it right. Other times, its more like a waiting game, to see when they will surprise you with something that you didn’t even know they knew. Both of my kids often do that to me. It’s crazy how much they can mis-pronounce but at the same time, seem so smart that I don’t even know where they came from. Check out some of these conversations between my sons and my husband and I.
Daddy: “What do you want for breakfast?”
Noah: “Cereal Toast Crunch.” (Cinnamon Toast Crunch)
Hayden: “What’s for cereal?” (He call breakfast “cereal” for a long time)
Daddy: “What do you want for lunch?”
Noah: ” A Chocolate Sandwich”
Here is both something I didn’t think Hayden knew, and it was funny at the same time.
Hayden: “Daddy, an author has 3 purposes: to entertain you, to inform you, or persuade you and Jack and the Beanstonk is a persuasive book.”
Daddy: “Well, what is the author trying to persuade me to do?”
Hayden: “Pick that book because it’s the best.”
I’m on my computer looking at the Lebanon Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep & RAM website and Hayden glances over to see what I’m looking at.
Hayden: “Mom, when are you gonna buy me a car?”
Me: “You’re not even 7 yet!”
Hayden: “But my birthday is next week.”
Me: Well, get a job and I’ll buy you a car.”
Hayden: “Done!”
I’m waiting on the backlash of that conversation. I can see him how decided how he’s going to get his “grandma” to employ him so he can get a car from his mom. Yeah, that’s not gonna happen but I know how Hayden’s mind works. Hopefully he was joking.. I bet he was joking right?
What are some of the hilarious things your kids say? I know we have more.
